This year’s EIB Summer School Alumni reunion brought together 80 former students in Luxembourg for a two-day deep dive into one central theme: disaster resilience. Attila Lengyel from EduGamiTech recalls how the event went.

The main event took place on Saturday afternoon, featuring a keynote by Edina Csányi on today’s global risks — from climate change and economic instability to geopolitical challenges — followed by four interactive stations. One of these was dedicated to our project, B-prepared, which promotes disaster readiness through innovative digital tools.
Each of the four 20-member groups rotated through our station for a focused 20-minute experience designed to demonstrate the project’s mission, encourage hands-on participation and showcase how technology can make disaster preparedness engaging and accessible.
The presentation space was carefully optimized for time and interactivity:
Throughout each session, participants were encouraged to register, explore and engage — with one volunteer in every group stepping up to try the AR CPR experience live, to the enthusiastic cheers of their peers.

According to the organizers, participants’ feedback was overwhelmingly positive. After a day filled with rather alarming discussions about global risks, the B-prepared session stood out for its optimistic and solution-oriented approach. The project offered a refreshing perspective: preparedness can be empowering, educational and even fun.
B-prepared’s mission remains clear — to make disaster preparedness accessible to everyone through innovation, community and hands-on learning.
