B-PREPARED Demo Days

21–22 May 2026 | Limoges & Lac du Causse, France

How can digital preparedness tools move from theory into real-life action?

On 21–22 May 2026, the B-PREPARED project invites citizens, professionals and local decision-makers in the Limoges region to take part in two dynamic events that bring disaster preparedness solutions from the screen into the field.

21 May Demo Day

18:30–21:00 APALS Center, Limoges

The Demo Day will gather participants from the Association Parc d’Activités Limoges Sud (APALS), consortium partners and members of the wider public for an interactive evening dedicated to disaster risk awareness and innovative preparedness tools.

The programme will begin with a presentation on disaster management in France, addressing natural hazards, climate change impacts, prevention strategies and forest fire risks. Participants will then discover the B-PREPARED solutions designed to strengthen citizen resilience and community preparedness across Europe.

The evening will feature live demonstrations of immersive VR scenarios simulating emergency situations, as well as hands-on testing of augmented reality applications. Participants will be able to explore how digital tools can support better decision-making, faster response and increased awareness in crisis situations.

This event offers a unique opportunity to experience cutting-edge preparedness solutions in an accessible and engaging format.

22 May  Field App Test

10:00–12:00  Chasteaux – Lac du Causse

On the following day, preparedness moves outdoors. Participants are invited to join a guided walk at Lac du Causse, where B-PREPARED’s  mobile application, IM-prepared, will be tested in a real-world environment.

During the 1.5-hour field activity, participants will explore how mobile solutions can enhance situational awareness, risk identification and preparedness behaviour in natural surroundings. The session connects digital learning with practical experience, demonstrating how technology can support citizens before and during emergencies.

Engaging Local Stakeholders

The programme will also include exchanges  between the consortium’s representatives and invited emergency response professionals and a policy-oriented roundtable discussion with local representatives and civil protection actors. These conversations will focus on local disaster management challenges, expectations towards citizens, and how innovative tools like B-PREPARED solutions can support schools, municipalities and communities in strengthening preparedness culture.

From immersive simulations to real-life field testing and policy dialogue, the Limoges Demo Days showcase how digital innovation, community engagement and institutional cooperation can work together to build stronger, more resilient societies.

Join us and experience preparedness in action.
