Synergies project - the sister of B-prepared

Innovating Preparedness by Leveraging SYNERGIES and Enhancing Results of Disaster Risk Management Projects. SYNERGIES focuses on five key preparedness needs: engaging all relevant actors, strengthening education and training, communicating effectively with citizens, managing spontaneous volunteers, and ensuring sustainable solutions. Building on research from six previous projects, SYNERGIES integrates findings, refines practices, and guides three real-life Preparedness Cases in La Réunion, Malta and Rotterdam. DRS Hub

The Hub is being developed as an entry-level reference point for stakeholders in Disaster Risk Management including citizens, local organisations, responders and municipal / regional authorities, national and international bodies, researchers and policymakers.

Its aim is to present a comprehensive starting point for stakeholders to search for relevant supporting information and data as they develop their own DRM strategies, policies and procedures as well as for those looking to increase their professional knowledge and undertake further research.

B-prepared is proud and grateful to contribute with Disastropedia as a DRS Hub Platform.

ILS - Integrierte Leitstelle München

In April 2025, the cooperation between B-Prepared and the emergency communications center Integrierte Leitstelle München, ILS 1 was strengthened. Emulated calls during a special training session of call-taker apprentices, visited by UniBW colleagues Jane Jean Kiam and Sean Klein, were all recorded. These recordings, after an additional step of strict anonymisation, will be used by the UniBwM to model and train call-taker non-player characters (NPC) in VR-prepared. Many thanks to Florentin von Kaufmann, Bernhard Hirsch, Jan Cox and many others from the ILS, for helping us help others!
