SmartMaps is a map platform for companies developed by YellowMap AG. It focuses on the needs and digital sovereignty of users. Based on OpenStreetMap data, SmartMaps offers customisable functions such as the visualisation of points of interest, internal location analyses or address validations. Christian Nickel is Managing Director of YellowMap AG and has more than 10 years of experience in the development of geodata-based solutions for major clients in the retail, insurance and automotive sectors. During his career he has successfully realised worldwide projects for leading corporations. In the B-prepared project, Christian Nickel shares his in-depth knowledge and expertise on the world of mapping platforms and will provide a comprehensive insight into the SmartMaps map platform.
Richard Wacker is an information economist, head of research at YellowMap AG and innovation manager at CAS Software AG. He has more than 20 years of experience in managing research projects in national and European programs, including in the field of disaster management. In his private life, he has a passion for big red cars with pumps inside and ladders on top. Such he can enjoy at the volunteer fire brigade.
