On 24-25 June, Warsaw’s EXPO XXI was buzzing from an excited crowd of innovators, safetyand security practitioners, scientists and industry representatives, arriving there on the invitationof DG HOME. This year’s edition of the event series pinpointed Boosting security throughEU-based innovation as its theme. This choice clearly reflects the current situation of civilsecurity, battling with shifts in geopolitics, extreme weather caused by climate change, andhybrid attacks. The key to maintaining strategic autonomy clearly lies in preparedness.
SRE 2025 wasn’t just another conference where theories and approaches were discussed and put to debate. It was accompanied by an exhibition sporting 50 booths, where the most successful of running and recent projects have been showcasing their innovative products – among them, at one of the prime locations, B-prepared.
Our consortium was represented by SZTAKI, SFC and EduGamiTech, and all four of our products have been demonstrated at their actual stage. Despite them being right in the middle of development, a handful of features have been showcased.

One thing is for sure: the audience hadn’t the slightest chance to be bored! Oh, and by the evenings, the team was as satisfied and tired as it can be 🙂
Events like this also get us, the projects, closer to each other. We are all pieces of this puzzle, and to bring safety and security, preparedness, response and prevention, all of us are needed – resilience lies in our differences and our cooperation.
