In a world where natural and man-made disasters are becoming increasingly unpredictable, preparation is no longer optional – it’s essential. And while learning about disaster preparedness might not sound exciting at first, the B-prepared project is changing that with a powerful, gamified platform that transforms learning into an engaging experience.

Getting Started with RU-prepared

RU-prepared is available at https://rulms.edugamitec.eu/

To create your account:

Choose a username - this is how you will appear to other users on the platform, so pick something you're comfortable with being visible.
Set a password - use a strong password you haven't used elsewhere, combining letters, numbers, and a special character.
Enter your email address - this is important: if you want RU-prepared to accumulate your progress from all B-prepared applications into a single B-ready Report, use the same email address you registered with in the other apps (IM-prepared, Disastropedia, etc.).
Enter your First Name and Last Name - these are used for your own account view only and will not be shown publicly.

Once you’re in the system, you’ll find the B-ready Report in the header of the platform. Clicking it will take you to your personal progress report, which will progressively reflect all the activities you’ve completed across the B-prepared ecosystem.

In the B-ready Report, you can also link your EPIC Games account to your RU-prepared account. This allows VR-prepared to recognise you and feed your in-game progress directly into your B-ready Report.

The B-ready Report is also available inside the IM-prepared app and the VR-prepared game – please refer to the manuals and instructions for those products to learn how to access it there.

How do you know you’re ready for a disaster?

RU-prepared helps you find the answer – not through tests or textbooks, but through the actions you take while learning.

As part of the B-prepared ecosystem, RU-prepared combines two core functions: it is the Learning Management System (LMS) that stores and delivers the e-learning content of the project, and it is the home of the B-ready Report, the gamified user progress report that tracks and rewards your efforts across all B-prepared applications. Together, they make your learning feel personal, measurable, and motivating.

What RU-prepared Does

RU-prepared brings together data from all B-prepared applications – the VR-prepared simulation game and the IM-prepared mobile app and more – and turns it into a single progress profile through the B-ready Report.

You don’t just complete activities – you see how they build your overall disaster readiness.

As the B-prepared LMS, RU-prepared stores and delivers purpose-built e-learning content designed specifically for the project’s disaster preparedness goals. It supports interactive H5P content – including interactive videos, presentations, quizzes, and drag-and-drop activities – as well as major learning standards like SCORM and xAPI. Educators and course designers can create and manage rich course content through an intuitive content management system.

The e-learning courses are designed to complement the hands-on activities in VR-prepared and IM-prepared, offering structured learning options that go deeper into disaster preparedness topics. Whether combining content from Disastropedia, external resources, or purpose-built modules, RU-prepared enables rich, multi-layered learning journeys that bring together formal instruction with gamified field experience.

For educators and project leads, RU-prepared also offers detailed analytics – insights into course completion rates, individual progress, and assessment results – providing the data needed to support and improve the learning experience.
