List based walks

We’re introducing a way to explore, learn, and interact with targeted content using list-based walks. Imagine a curated sequence of experiences, tasks, or information presented in a straightforward, user-friendly list format. We focus on accessibility and simplicity, making it easy for anyone to participate and glean valuable insights.

List-based walks are meticulously crafted to provide a structured journey through specific themes or topics. Each item on the list serves as a gateway to new knowledge, challenges, or interactive elements, guiding the user through a deliberate progression. This method ensures clarity and focus, allowing you to delve deep into the subject matter without feeling overwhelmed. By presenting information in a sequential and digestible manner, we foster a deeper connection with the content and facilitate effective learning.

This approach is part of our broader dedication to innovative, technology-driven solutions that prioritize user experience. List-based walks stand out for their versatility and ease of implementation, offering a practical way to deliver targeted information and create engaging interactive experiences. Whether exploring historical data, safety protocols, or educational materials, list-based walks offer a seamless and intuitive way to navigate through a wealth of information, making learning and exploration an accessible and enjoyable journey for all.

Excellence in smartphone application development

The Multiplatform-oriented Content Development, Management and Presentation system has been created and applied for the purposes of the GUIDE@HAND application family.  As a recognition of its outstanding performance, incorporating values of about 15 years of product innovation, it was selected as a member of the top 100 most innovative Hungarian developments. The multiplatform package has been awarded various prizes, including “Best Practice eLearning Quality Product”. The package features were outlined in articles in professional magazines and in presentations at thematic conferences, e.g. “Mobile tools in Education”, and “Digital Presentation and Preservation of Cultural and Scientific Heritage (DIPP)”.

GUIDE@HAND smartphone application family

The development process of gamified applications reuses the well-proven methods and tools already applied during the implementation of several touristic and thematic walks of the multiplatform GUIDE@HAND mobile applications. More than 60 applications are used actively, covering 9 countries, and contain hundreds of interactive packages. The methodology and tools developed and introduced by SZTAKI enable the use of the packages for multiple purposes, including various areas of tourism, education, museum pedagogy, settlement history, etc.

In addition to the basic tourism-oriented packages, many other walk types were created. Just to mention the most distinctive ones:

  • GPS-based walks - present real locations based on the current position of the user

  • Map-based walks - to provide the opportunity to discover locations on an interactive map

  • List-based walks - to introduce real or virtual locations in random order, based on the user selection

  • QR-code based walks - to offer additional multimedia contents, based on the unique identifier (QR code) scanned by the user

  • Photo panorama-based walks - enable the visual presentation of real locations in a 360-degree view

  • Virtual panorama-based walks - to support the presentation of objects along a path within virtual environments.
