EduGamiTec is pioneering the fusion of education and entertainment, crafting an immersive learning environment that captivates and educates simultaneously. Founded by Györgyi “Gira” Szakmár, with a rich background in the gaming industry, EduGamiTec was born from a vision to infuse the traditional education system with the joy and engagement found in games.
This innovative approach has led to the development of cutting-edge platforms like Memomoti, a game-based learning platform for kids; Gamtred, an advanced learning management system that integrates educational content into various entertainment media; and the Learning Management System, part of the B-Prepared project, which exemplifies the seamless integration of learning progress management across diverse applications to enhance the disaster resilience education across Europe.
These platforms represent EduGamiTec’s commitment to transforming education into a dynamic, personalized journey that is both enjoyable and effective for today’s digital natives. EduGamiTec is not just creating educational tools but is reimagining how we think about learning in the digital age, ensuring that learners are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed for success in an ever-changing world.
Joining EduGamiTec initially as an advisor, I was driven by a firm belief in the necessity of redefining education to meet the diverse needs of learners. My conviction in this mission has only deepened over time, leading me to take on a more substantial role within the company. Since last October, I have transitioned to a full-time position, focusing on the seamless operations of EduGamiTec, ensuring that our innovative solutions reach as many learners as possible. In addition to my operational responsibilities, I manage Work Package 2 in the B-Prepared project. As a mother of four, including two young firefighters, I see the immense value and potential of the B-Prepared project firsthand. It’s more than just a professional commitment; it’s a personal one, I am proud and excited to be a part of this transformative journey.
With over two decades of experience in the gaming industry, my transition into educational technology was sparked by a personal mission to enhance my daughters’ learning experiences within the confines of traditional education. This drive led to the creation of EduGamiTec, a company dedicated to merging the realms of education and entertainment, making learning an adventure that is both engaging and impactful. My role in the B-Prepared project is managing the development of the Learning Management System. This project, especially dear to me, embodies our commitment to providing measurable, adaptable learning experiences. Being part of this project, I am reminded daily of our mission, to bring the joy and excitement of discovery back into learning.
