TFC Research and Innovation Limited (www.tfcengage.com), based in Dublin, Ireland, is a provider of engaged scientific research services, working across the following pillars – clustering, better practice guides, conceptual architecture, project management, standardization, outreach and proposal development.

 

Our approach to business is highly client and partner centric! We get to know and understand needs and requirements to provide knowledge, know-how capability and plans in support of a proposed undertaking. The ingrained approach is brought to all of our work, including project undertakings, proposal development, inhouse and external initiatives as well as to process development with lateral thinking and fresh ideas integrated into proceedings. The approach can be applied at many levels including strategic, policy and operational. Skills base is used to help with the delivery of better outcomes and results from the above listed work activities. 

 

We partner with many organizations working across multiple domains, including eHealth, Disaster Risk Resilience and Operational  Security, ICT, Aquaculture as well as Green and Digital Transition. Presently, we run the European cluster ‘Cancer Survivorship – AI for Well Being’ and separately, lead the Co-Creation Group in PEERS, which involves preparedness and response for a CBRNE incident and primarily targets both  policy makers and practitioners. 

Tom Flynn

Hello.

My name is Tom Flynn. I am the Innovation and Business Development Manager of TFC Research and Innovation. I have vast experience working for both multinational organizations and SMEs across a number of domains, including ICT, Security, Social Science, Energy, Aquaculture and eHealth. I am also a member of CEN-TC391 (Citizen and Societal Security committee on standardization) and have a background in project management, standardization, operational management and marketing. A regular speaker at European Commission conferences, I am involved in a number of EU projects and lead the development of the Better Practice Guide initiative in the NO-FEAR project. Presently running 2 clusters, the PEERS Co-creation Group and separately, the Cancer Survivorship – AI for Well Being Cluster. 

With my colleagues, we aim to bring much lateral thinking and expertise to the project, contributing to management support, clustering development, community engagement and the Better practice guide initiative to the B-Prepared project. The initiative has proven to be of much interest to a number of sectors including Energy Transition, eHealth and Operational Security.
