This year’s 25th European Conference on Knowledge Management (ECKM) has been an incredible experience, bringing together brilliant minds to explore how big ideas intersect with practical applications. From keynote talks to breakout sessions, the focus was on how theoretical frameworks can drive innovation and real-world solutions. It was inspiring to witness the vibrant discussions around cutting-edge research and its direct impact on industries.

Ilona Heldal from the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences had the opportunity to contribute by discussing how foundational theories could enhance the B-prepared Horizon Europe project’s digital solutions for disaster-readiness, ensuring we are fully equipped to meet evolving market needs.

These conversations reaffirmed the importance of blending academic insights with business strategies. Knowledge management, after all, is not just about collecting data— it is about translating it into action and progress.

A special highlight was Rashika Tasnim Keya’s presentation of her first co-authored paper and poster.
