B-prepared at the Civil Protection Forum
B-prepared had the privilege to be present at the European Civil Protection Forum in Brussels on 4-5 June 2024. The event was organised by the Union Civil Protection Knowledge Network.
As a member project of the Societal Resilience Cluster, hosted by the Crisis Management Innovation Network Europe (CMINE), it was great to share a booth with like-minded project teams, who all focus on innovation for increasing the collective and individual disaster resilience of society. The booth was showcasing 12 ongoing research and innovation projects, involving over 100 organisations. B-prepared was represented on the event by EduGamiTec SARL and SFC Nonprofit.

It was really exciting to see so many game-based ideas and solutions for educating citizens about disaster resilience: WildX and OneX from the See Alarm Foundation or the Engage.EU project.
VR technology is also gaining momentum in providing life-like experiences of disaster situations for educational purposes, like the VR Shelters by Xamk (South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences)
And of course, we shouldn’t forget about the most distinguished guests of the event, the true first line responder rescue dogs of the ESDP 😊
